Pond Plum is a historic fruit cultivar documented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture between 1886 and 1942. 3 watercolour studies of it survive in the collection, with specimens recorded from Colorado, Larimer, Fort Collins; Michigan, Van Buren, South Haven; Pennsylvania, Northumberland, Fishers Ferry, painted by Lower, Elsie E. b., Steadman, Royal Charles b., Arnold, Mary Daisy. The paintings served as official botanical identification records before colour photography.
