Tyson Pear is a historic fruit cultivar documented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture between 1886 and 1942. 3 watercolour studies of it survive in the collection, with specimens recorded from Ohio, Preble, Camden; Michigan, Van Buren, South Haven, painted by Schutt, Ellen Isham, Steadman, Royal Charles b., Arnold, Mary Daisy. The paintings served as official botanical identification records before colour photography.
