Benoni Apple is a historic fruit cultivar documented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture between 1886 and 1942. 5 watercolour studies of it survive in the collection, with specimens recorded from Connecticut, Tolland, Storrs; Virginia, Arlington; Oklahoma, Pottawatomie, McLoud, painted by Arnold, Mary Daisy, Steadman, Royal Charles b., Heiges, Bertha. The paintings served as official botanical identification records before colour photography.
