Cannon Apple is a historic fruit cultivar documented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture between 1886 and 1942. 3 watercolour studies of it survive in the collection, with specimens recorded from Wisconsin, Jefferson, Fort Atkinson; Virginia, Bedford, Sedalia; Virginia, Bedford, painted by Schutt, Ellen Isham, Passmore, Deborah Griscom, Newton, Amanda Almira. The paintings served as official botanical identification records before colour photography.
