Lady Apple is a historic fruit cultivar documented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture between 1886 and 1942. 4 watercolour studies of it survive in the collection, with specimens recorded from Virginia, Nelson, Massies Mill; Nevada, Washoe, Franktown; Maryland, Kent, Chestertown, painted by Passmore, Deborah Griscom, Heiges, Bertha. The paintings served as official botanical identification records before colour photography.
